Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com, the trusted automotive research Web site, has named the 2009 Odyssey as one of its 10 "Best New Family Vehicles of 2009." Some of the Odyssey's family-friendly features include: seating for up to 8 passengers, available power sliding doors / tailgate, up to 15 beverage holders and an available Honda Rear DVD Entertainment System. Moreover, the 2009 Odyssey boasts such safety features as standard front and side curtain air bags.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recognized the Honda Odyssey as a 2009 "Top Safety Pick." The award was based on several extensive tests, including a frontal-offset crash test, side crash test and rear-impact test. In addition, each winner was required to have electronic stability control available as either standard equipment or as an option. Active safety systems such as stability control can help drivers avoid collisions altogether. Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®), also known as electronic stability control, is standard equipment on the 2009 Honda Odyssey.

Honda has a long history of environmental leadership, including the introduction of America's first mass produced hybrid, the Honda Insight, and the first vehicle to meet California's low emission vehicle standards, well in advance of regulatory requirements. Acknowledgement of our commitment to innovation can be seen by Honda's topping the rankings as the country's greenest automaker by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)-for the fourth time in a row.*
