Ridgeline Baja Race Truck-2008 Baja 1000 Winner
Honda and the Ridgeline Baja Race Truck earned its first ever win in the SCORE Baja 1000, the granddaddy of all desert races. Leading the pack most of the way in the Stock Mini Truck Class, Gavin Skilton skillfully piloted the Ridgeline over 600 miles of perilous desert terrain, crossing the finish line for an exciting first- place victory. 
The 2009 Ridgeline has received 5-star frontal and 5-star side-impact crash-test ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Every Ridgeline comes equipped with standard features such as Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®), anti-lock braking (ABS) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Plus, six airbags, including side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor, help protect driver and passengers in sufficient impacts.*

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recognized the Honda Ridgeline as a 2009 "Top Safety Pick." The award was based on several extensive tests, including a frontal-offset crash test, side crash test and rear-impact test. In addition, each winner was required to have electronic stability control available as either standard equipment or as an option. Active safety systems such as stability control can help drivers avoid collisions altogether. Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®), also known as electronic stability control, is standard equipment on the 2009 Honda Ridgeline.
