The current generation of the celebrated compact car that is the Honda Civic began for the 2016 model year. While the 2017 and 2018 Honda Civic models were pretty much identical to one another, some standout changes have been made for 2019. These include the newly standard Honda-Sensing driver-assistance bundle, some exterior design upgrades, a much-needed physical volume knob to accompany the touch-screen controls, and the debut of the new Sport trim.

Honda-Sensing Driver-Assistance Suite

A newly standard Honda-Sensing suite means every 2019 Honda Civic driver and their passengers are ensured by the added safety brought along by the watchful eye and helping hand of Honda robots. The driver-assistance suite includes:
  • Automatic High Beams
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Road Departure Mitigation
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Automatic Emergency Braking
There are also additional assistance and safety features to make your driving experience even more secure. These include a standard multi-angle rearview camera and an available passenger-side blind-spot monitoring system.

2019 Honda Civic Sport Trim

The new Sport trim on the 2019 Honda Civic falls between the base level LX and next-level EX trims. The other available trims still include the 2019 Honda Civic EX-L and Touring. The 2019 Honda Civic Sport trim adds a selection of amenities to the base trim including
  • Alloy wheels
  • Leatherette and cloth upholstery
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
  • Proximity key entry
  • Push-button start
