Performance
The Odyssey has a proven V6 engine that can instill confidence in the family driver. This six-cylinder unit produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
With a ten-speed automatic transmission to shift the gears, the system makes good use of every horse under the hood. Front-wheel drive provides a natural, car-like feel.
With its structural strength as well as its engine prowess, the minivan can tow up to 3,500 pounds. This should allow a family to bring along adventure toys like ATVs or Jet Skis.
Utility
A typical 3 row SUV has 16 cubic feet at worst and 21 cubic feet at best in their cargo hold. Compare that to the 32.8 cubic feet in the Odyssey cargo hold.

Interior
Not only is the cargo area big, the passenger volume is a remarkable 163 cubic feet. Legroom is 40.9 inches on the second row and 38.1 inches on the third row. Furthermore, you can add more legroom on either row using the Magic Slide seats.
When you test drive, you’ll notice that the Odyssey keeps its price in check, but it doesn’t skimp on standard amenities or high quality furnishings. Engineers ensure the ride is quiet by endowing the Odyssey with targeted anti-noise measures and extensive noise insulation.
As you climb the trim ladder, the cabins go from well-endowed to downright luxurious. One of our favorite features is the ambient lighting in red or blue. Technology
Front and center, a large touchscreen keeps the driver connected and informed. You can find plenty of entertainment via HondaLink apps or use favorite smartphone apps via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Parents will appreciate Cabin Watch with its camera system trained on the backseat and Cabin Talk with its intercom-like microphone system. Parents of young children will like the option of a multi-zone audio system that can establish a rear quiet zone.
The kids will be more interested in the entertainment center and will like available WiFi connectivity for their own smart devices. Everyone will appreciate the multi-zone automatic climate controls to regulate the air conditioning more precisely for every seating position.
Safety
The 2023 minivan achieved a 5-star NHTSA rating and an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation. For 2024, it has even more sophisticated driver assistance to keep the family driver from straying into dangerous situations.
Looking forward, it has a front collision warning system with an autobrake and pedestrian detection. Looking to the side, it has a road edge monitor with assist, a lane keeping assist, and a blind spot monitor.
For parking, it has a three-view rearview camera and a rear cross traffic alert. The adaptive cruise control benefits from low-speed follow functions and lane assistance.
