Power and Driving Range
The 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV has a 270-mile driving range, according to EPA estimates. The plug-in charger allows it to go 29 miles without tapping its hydrogen reserves.
Other hydrogen vehicles, such as the Toyota Mirai and Hyundai Nexo, do not have the plug-in charging as a back-up.
At present, there’s a single motor powering the e:FCEV. This allows it to produce 174 horsepower. The combined torque rate is 229 lb-ft. Drivers can use Eco, Normal, or Sport modes to take advantage of conditions. There’s also a snow mode for winter challenges.
To create this ride, Honda altered the CR-V suspension, rigidity, springs, stabilizer bars, and more. Exciting New Capability
With the changes made to create the e:FCEV, engineers found they can harness the power supply for home use.
Using a 110-volt power outlet, the Honda Power Supply Connector moves power from the CUV to the home. It offers 1,500 watts of power, providing a backup to the electric grid. Even better, it’s a clean, green source of power. It can run small appliances, work tools or camping equipment.
HondaLink allows the owner to access power supply data on their phone. They can see charging levels and find out where the nearest hydrogen stations are.
New Manufacturing Milestones
The new Honda CR-V e:FCEV is a fuel cell vehicle made in the United States at the automaker’s Maryville Ohio plant. At this time, it is the only FCEV made in America.
Honda built the first zero-emission fuel cell vehicle back in 2002. Known as the Honda FCX, it was made using first-generation technology. For the CR-V e:FCEV, the Honda Fuel Cell Module is a much more advanced, second-generation system.
Made in Michigan by Fuel Cell System Manufacturing LLC, the new module was developed by Honda and General Motors. It represents a leap forward in refinement, durability, and efficiency. Even better, it brings down the cost of previous fuel cell systems. For instance, compared to the Clarity Fuel Cell, it reduces costs by about 2/3rds.

CR-V Style
The CR-V eFCEV echoes the current CR-V style while setting itself apart from its gas-powered and hybrid CR-V counterparts. Consumers will appreciate the sporty modern interior. They’ll certainly recognize the spaciousness and comfort always found in the CR-V.
On the dash, there’s a 10.2-inch digital instrument display partnered with a 9-inch High Definition touchscreen. There’s a wireless phone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.

Like the CR-V Touring, the 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV has power adjustable front seats, dual zone climate controls, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.
