The innovative hybrid powertrain has the capability to operate as a two-motor series or parallel hybrid system. The Honda CR-V Hybrid does not use a conventional transmission and instead relies on an Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission that employs shift-by-wire technology. Honda Real Time AWD™ with an Intelligent Control System is standard for all Honda CR-V Hybrid trim levels.
